New Bishop of Maridi elected
I was absolutely thrilled to hear of the election of the Revd Moses Zungo as the new bishop of Maridi. Bishop Justin becomes the primate of South Sudan on 22 April and bishop–elect Moses will be consecrated around a month later. The Church in South Sudan moves quickly. The diocese of Down & Dromore has, along with the Diocese of Albany, been linked with Maridi since 1999. The link has functioned through CMSI and has led to Fields of Life building schools in Maridi and nearby Ibba diocese.
Please hold Moses and his family in your prayers. He is well experienced, but the challenge of ministering in South Sudan is one for which he will need the special strengthening of the Holy Spirit.
