Archbishop Justin sends warm greetings to the diocese

All at the Down and Dromore Diocesan Synod were delighted to hear a message from our brother, Archbishop Justin, Primate of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan. He wrote these warm words to Bishop Harold:

Dear brother bishop Harold

Greetings to you from Juba with hope that you are all okay after your return from Juba.

I have started to execute my new role as the Diocesan Bishop of Juba and the primate of South Sudan. We have now moved to Juba, but the children are still in Uganda for their schooling since the situation here is still unstable. Thank you and mama Liz for being by our side from the start of our ministry up to the time of our installation as the Archbishop and primate.

Please convey our appreciation and thanks to all the clergy and the Christians in the Diocese of Down and Dromore who have encouraged us to carry on the ministry amidst of all the challenges in our country up to this time that we have been raised to take the spiritual leadership of South Sudan. I am who I am today because of the great prayer and practical support of my brothers and sisters in the Diocese of Down and Dromore. Thank you all and may God bless all your lives in His own ways. I very much continue to value your prayers for the energy to continue the proclamation of the Gospel and the pursuit of peace and reconciliation among the divided communities.

Thank you.
