Bishop Harold joins anniversary celebrations

Bishop Harold was deleighted to attend two anniversary celebrations earlier this week.

As a long–time supporter and current board member of Tearfund UK, the bishop joined Tearfund NI for the UK charity’s 50th Anniversary celebrations in Carnmoney Presbyterian Church on Monday 25 June.

Tearfund was set up in 1968 in England and began in NI around 8 years later at a meeting held in the home of Tom and Elva Stevenson of Lisburn Cathedral.

Bishop Harold is pictured below with Ruth Koch, Director of Tearfund NI, and the new Presbyterian Moderator, the Rt Revd Charles McMullen.

Earlier that day, Bishop Harold and Liz Miller joined the Revds Raymond Ferguson, John Batchelor, Stanley Bourke and Kevin Brew and their spouses as they celebrated the 40th anniversary of their ordinations. Bishop Harold was ordained 42 years on Sunday 24 June. (The group is pictured below in Bangor Parish Church after a service of Holy Communion).
