Vacancy for Parish Administrator, Dundela

The Rector and Select Vestry of St Mark’s are looking for a self–motivated enthusiastic and well organised individual to fulfil the role of Parish Administrator for 12 hours per week.

The salary will be paid at a rate of £9.50 per hour

St Mark’s is a vibrant parish in East Belfast, situated on the Holywood Road. Our Church, known as the ‘Lion on the Hill’ (Bunker Hill), was designed by the renowned Victorian architect William Butterfield, his only parish church on the island of Ireland. The poet Sir John Betjeman described St Mark’s as ‘Butterfield at his best’ and indeed those who worship in the Church today think it is a magnificent church building. The Church and Parish have a strong historical link with the life of the theologian, poet and novelist C.S. Lewis, whose maternal grandfather, Revd Thomas Hamilton, was the first Rector of the Parish.

The Rector and Select Vestry are looking for a Parish Administrator who will contribute to, enhance and develop the life of the parish.

Please note that any appointment to the position will be conditional on:

a)   A satisfactory AccessNI enhanced disclosure for Safeguarding Trust purposes; and,

Closing date for applications: 12.00 noon on Wednesday 20 February 2019
