Training in new liturgical resources

Recent developments in liturgy have resulted in four new resources for use in the Church of Ireland.  As a diocese we want all involved in leading worship to have a good grasp of the reason for, and practical use of, these new services and prayers.

To facilitate this we have planned two gatherings in Carryduff Parish Church in the weeks prior to Advent.

Tuesday 5 November from 10.00 am – 12.30 pm

A morning for clergy to introduce Morning Prayer for Sundays, a new collection of Collects of the Word for the three RCL years, Prayers for Use at the Time of Infant and Prenatal Loss, and the newly authorised form of Holy Communion by Extension. Coffee break included and an informal question time if needed.

Thursday 14 November from 7.30 – 9.00 pm

A single evening session for Diocesan Readers and Retired Clergy who assist in parishes to introduce Morning Prayer for Sundays and Collects of the Word. There will be time for questions and all the relevant resources will be available.

At both these events we will have input from those experienced in training service leaders.

All worship leaders are invited.
