Gazette Christmas Cover Competition
The Church of Ireland Gazette’s Christmas Cover Competition returns this year, and this time, it is open to all age groups. The only requirement is to take a photograph that would be appropriate for the December cover, along the theme of “All is Calm”.
The winner’s photography will appear on the Christmas cover of the Church of Ireland Gazette and they will also receive a prize of €100/£90 as well as €100/£90 for their parish. The runner–up will receive €50/£45.
The Gazette hopes to publish a selection of their favourite photographs in the December issue. All entries must be received by 12 noon on Friday 19 November.
How to enter
Send your photograph (portrait orientation) to christmascovergazette@gmail.com with
1. Your name
2. Your age (if under 18)
3. Name of your parish
4. Contact email (for parent/guardian if under 18)
Technical information
Format: Entries should be high quality jpeg files.
File size: Each image should ideally be 1MB or larger. If you are sending from a smartphone, please be sure to select “large size” or “original size” if prompted.
Rules
1. Only one entry per person.
2. Entries for children must be submitted by a parent or guardian, or adult over the age of 18, on the child’s behalf.
3. All entries must include a valid email address
4. All entries must be sent via the electronic form provided, before 12 noon on 19 November 2021.
5. The judge’s decision is final and binding in all matters, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. By entering the competition and submitting a photograph, you hereby grant the Church of Ireland Gazette a licence to freely use that photograph for the purpose of promoting the competition within the magazine and online, in print and electronic formats.
