Help and hope in the bleakness of 2021

“Through the generosity of Church of Ireland dioceses, parishes and individuals, many who are in the throes of despair due to Covid–19, famine, displacement or natural disasters have received life–saving support” says the Bishops’ Appeal Advent Newsletter which is available now.

Revd Colin Darling, the Appeal’s Representative for Down and Dromore, would especially like to thank all those in our diocese who have donated in the past year.

“Please download and read the newsletter which summarises how your donations, combined with others across the Church of Ireland, have made a huge difference to the lives of many desperate people. Thank you.

“The Appeal recognises that ‘Together we can do even more’ and that is certainly our hope in Down and Dromore.  We are planning a 2022 Bishop’s Appeal Lent Appeal which will support a Tearfund project in the Middle East and a Christian Aid project in Central America. More details will follow early in the new year.”
