Julie we’ll miss you!

Colleagues at Church House Belfast have said farewell to the wonderful Julie Currie who is leaving her post as Down and Dromore’s Children’s Development Officer after 11 years.

Although leaving the diocesan team, Julie will not be leaving the diocese as she takes up the post of Family Ministry Pastor in Hillsborough Parish in February.

During her time as Children’s Officer, Julie has been a constant support and inspiration to our clergy and a nurturing presence to everyone involved with children’s ministry in the diocese.

She leaves behind the landmark JIGSAW Sunday School Curriculum which is now being used all over the Church of Ireland, not to mention popular diocesan initiatives such as the Praise Party and J.A.M Camps. Julie has championed Messy Church, Muddy Church, Building Blocks and the Children’s Ministry Network, always equipping, resourcing and training with professionalism and creativity.

Julie was presented with a cake, flowers and a gift and goes to her new role with the love and best wishes of everyone in Church House and throughout the Diocese of Down and Dromore.
