Laurence releases his first single

Congratulations to Laurence Bellew, who has just released his first single, ‘Coming Home’. Laurence is Pioneer Evangelist at the Newry Centre of Mission which is a collaboration between the diocese and Church Army.

“I’m so excited to have released ‘Coming Home’ and the music video to go with it,” says Laurence. “It’s a song that reflects on how I felt growing up in foster care; the feelings of rejection, worthlessness and searching for belonging, and then finding out about a God who loves me more than I could ever understand and who welcomes me into his arms. I really hope it will bless you and can be a resource to help others find God too.”

Laurence recorded the single at the Base Project Studio in Belfast which invests the money back into music lessons for their local community. You will also see some familiar faces in the music video including Revd Scott McDonald, Rector of the Grouped Parishes of St Patrick and St Mary, Newry, and Lead Evangelist for the Centre of Mission.

A Jesus Thing Movement is the musical expression of Newry Centre of Mission and Laurence is hoping to get back into the studio to tell more stories and make more music videos involving local people.
