‘Adventurous Expression’ in Holy Week

Mount Merrion Church are hosting a creative, artistic and immersive experience on the Wednesday of Holy Week as part of their Easter theme: ‘Adventurously Expectant’.

“On Wednesday 13 April, we’re simply seeking to create space for people to come and encounter Jesus in creative and immersive ways that stimulate our senses and provoke us to experience a deeper revelation of what He has done for us. We’ve titled this day ‘Adventurous Expression’, because we believe in an incredible Creator God who has made us in His image and gifted us with creativity and artistic expression in turn, and we simply wish to use this as an act of worship to honour Him and make Him known in fresh and new ways.

”We’ll have six pieces of art on display, created from a mixture of artists and friends who are connected to our church community, and members of our church family who are artists themselves. Each piece of art will depict a different aspect of the journey through Easter, and there will be opportunities throughout the day to reflect, sit and observe, pray and be prayed for. Our worship team will be facilitating prophetic, instrumental worship throughout the day, and everything that we do will be framed in such a way to create space for you to encounter Jesus in a way that is deeply personal and powerful.”

The event will run from 11.00 am–4.00 pm and then again in the evening from 7–9.00 pm.
