Select Vestry Evenings this May

Bishop David will be gathering together all of the diocese’s Select Vestries over five evenings in May. He will address each of the meetings, and also take the opportunity to introduce the members of the diocesan team.

“In these challenging times for the Church, I want us to look together at the priorities that parishes need to be embracing as we move forward. In what I hope will be an encouraging evening, we will be giving Select Vestries some pointers as to how they might better resource these priorities to facilitate growth at parish level. Please pray for us as we gather over these five evenings.”

The meetings will include light refreshments on arrival and a service of dedication for newly elected Select Vestry members. After two years of Covid–19 they will play a significant role in both governance and the implementation of vision that will ensure parishes both survive and thrive in the changed church landscape in the years ahead.
