Children and Young Person’s Counsellor

Kilkeel Parish Bridge Association wishes to appoint one part–time counsellor to complement our existing staff team. The person appointed will assist in the development and delivery of: Regenerate, a mental health and well–being hub for young people.

Kilkeel Parish Bridge Association Limited is a registered charity that has been in operation since 2000. The association delivers activities, through JIMS Youth Centre, that are designed to help alleviate some of the many issues that children and young people face in the Kilkeel area. Activities that are offered help to promote, among other things, understanding, respect, personal growth and development for children and young people aged 5–21.

In September 2020, KPBAL launched a new project – Regenerate: Mental Health Hub. We provide counselling for children and young people, small groups and training for parents/carers.

Part–Time Counsellor

Starting Salary: £30,890 (pro rata)

10 month post, school term, 15 hours per week

Applicants should have a recognised counselling qualification, as outlined in the job specification, and experience of counselling children and young people; the post will require flexible working hours, may include some evenings.
