Appointment to Castlewellan and Kilcoo
Bishop David has appointed Revd Pat Kerr as Priest in Charge of the Parish of Castlewellan and Kilcoo.
Born and raised in Belfast, Pat is currently serving his curacy in St Mary’s Church, Princes Risborough, in the diocese of Oxford. His wife Jenni is the Children and Families Worker.
Pat says: “As I approach the end of my curacy, Jen and I have a real sense of God calling us back to Ireland and when we visited a few places over Easter, we both felt a real sense of God’s peace in Castlewellan, feeling like this could be home for us.
“I am really looking forward to being a part of the clergy team in Down and Dromore, serving together to implement Bishop David’s spirt filled 10–year vision for the diocese. We are looking forward to coming alongside the church family, getting to know each other and joining in, exploring where God is calling us to minister.”
A date for the Service of Introduction will be announced in due course.
