Service of Reflection in Hillsborough
Bishop David attended a service in Hillsborough Parish Church yesterday afternoon (12 September) to give thanks for the life and service of Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
It was a beautiful but simple service of reflection with Bible readings and prayers including two of the Queen’s favourite hymns.
Hillsborough’s rector, Canon Bryan Follis, led the service which was open to all. Attendees included Aldermen of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Alan Ewart and Jim Dillon and Interim MLA Emma Little–Pengelly who gave one of the readings. The Fort Guard also attended.
