New chaplaincy roles for Jim
Congratulations to Revd Jim Fleming who has recently been appointed to two, very different, chaplaincy roles.
Southern Area Hospice Services have appointed Jim as a Chaplain at their Hospice in Newry, a role he undertakes alongside his leadership of Killicomaine Community Church.
Wearing quite a different hat and through Sports Chaplaincy UK, Jim has also taken on the voluntary role of Chaplain at Annagh Utd Football Club in Portadown. Annagh are a semi–professional club who play in the IFA Championship, the second tier of football in Northern Ireland.
He says: “It’s a blessing to have been appointed to the role of Chaplain in the Southern Area Hospice. To have the opportunity to bring spiritual and pastoral care to palliative patients and their families is a huge privilege and responsibility. “I am also delighted to take on the Chaplain’s position at Annagh Utd F.C. I’m there to be a friend to all associated with the club and to be a listening ear to those who may need help and support.” We wish Jim every blessing as he ministers in these three very different settings.
