Who wants to be an Apprentice?
Now that we’ve got you interested – if you are a Christian between 18–25 – you can now apply to be a 2023–24 Ministry Apprentice in a church in the Down and Dromore Diocese.
You would serve Jesus in a local church, learn practical ministry skills on–the–job in an experienced ministry team, receive relevant training, practise spiritual rhythms, and explore your calling.
The FORGE Ministry Apprenticeship Scheme aims to enable young Christians to grow in faith, deepen their biblical worldview and prepare themselves for a life of Kingdom influence.
Jesus has been calling young people into ministry apprenticeship ever since he called his first disciples (Mark 1:16–18). The primary purpose of being a disciple of Jesus is to be progressively transformed into his likeness and invite others to do the same. Dallas Willard has described discipleship as “being an apprentice of Jesus in our daily existence”. Being an apprentice is choosing to walk in his footsteps and inviting change in every aspect of our lives.
The FORGE Ministry Apprenticeship will help you cultivate a rhythm of transformation in your life, equip you with practical ministry skills and provide you with opportunities to influence the lives of others.
