Four Diocesan Evangelists Commissioned
Congratulations to the four new Diocesan Evangelists commissioned by Bishop David at the end of June. The commissioning took place in the shadow of Belfast’s famous Harland and Wolf cranes in St Martin’s Church off the Lower Newtownards Road.
Pictured left to right with Bishop David they are: Sam Stevenson (Ballyholme), Jane Beaney (Orangefield), Andrew Davis (Shankill Lurgan) and Andrew McCaw (The Gathering).
Our Warden of Evangelists, Capt George Newell, and Revd Ross Munro who leads The Gathering, complete the lineup.
The newly commissioned evangelists successfully completed the two–year Evangelism Training Course which is distance learning based. The course is accredited by St John’s College, Nottingham, and run in collaboration with New Wine Ireland.
