Hilary McClay addresses clergy wives in Kigali
Hilary McClay is in Kigali, Rwanda, to speak at the first clergy wives conference hosted by the Primate’s wife, Madame Chantal Mbanda.
Over six hundred clergy wives from the Anglican Church in Rwanda have gathered in the capital for four days of worship, teaching, fellowship and sessions to equip them in their ministry. The theme is from Esther 4:19 and in Hilary’s sessions she has been encouraging the women to draw encouragement from Esther’s story, to make their lives count and to draw strength from prayer, keeping their focus on God’s plans for their lives. “Let’s go on an adventure with God and see how he may use us in the days ahead”, she said.
Archbishop Laurent Mbanda and Chantal were our guests for the St Patrick’s Day celebrations at Down Cathedral earlier this year, and Hilary’s visit has come as a result of the friendship formed between the McClays and the Mbandas in March.
