Raymond McClure introduced in Ballyhalbert
Warmest congratulations to Raymond McClure who has been formally introduced by Bishop David as Parish Pastoral Worker for St Andrew’s, Ballyhalbert.
Raymond has been working part–time in St Andrew’s for the last year and a half and in August was appointed to the joint role of Parish Pastoral Worker and Outreach Leader for the new Ards Connect Outreach.
The preacher at the service on Friday 8 September was Revd Willie Nixon (above) who is in the process of being appointed as Curate–in–charge and will provide oversight for Raymond.
Speaking of the next chapter of his ministry Raymond said:
“This new season in the Church’s life is an incredibly exciting one. Not only do I get to work with some amazing parishioners, but I get to see God transforming lives, and there is no greater honour than that.
“I couldn’t be more excited to see God move in the parish, and I do believe that greater things are coming to this part of the world. A constant verse that has become like a resounding gong in the life of the church is Ephesians 3:20 – ‘Now unto Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine according to His power that is at work in us.’”
