Down & Dromore Christmas Appeal

As the festivities get underway, we invite you to join us as we seek to show God’s love to displaced people in the Middle East and in Northern Ireland this Christmas.

Due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza and Israel, many thousands of people have experienced displacement from their homes, separation from their families, injury and bereavement.

We will be supporting the Bishop’s Appeal who are working through the Diocese of Jerusalem and Tearfund as they respond to the needs of people in the Middle East.

There are over 4000 displaced persons in Northern Ireland including 1200 from the Middle East and at least 1500 from Africa. More than 200 asylum seekers are arriving in Northern Ireland each month. Through the Suitcase Project, we will welcome and support those who have arrived here with little and demonstrate the kindness and compassion of Christ in such a way that people will want to find out more about the Christian faith for themselves.

You can make a difference today,

  • by praying for displaced people in the Middle East and in Northern Ireland and;

  • by giving towards the Down and Dromore Christmas Appeal.

Funding received through this appeal will be split equally between the Bishop’s Appeal for people affected by the Middle East crisis and the Suitcase Project in Down and Dromore.

Thank you and may God bless you and your family this Christmas.

Yours in Christ
