Clergy and Leaders Day Conference
Please pray for our Clergy and Leaders Day Conference taking place on Thursday 18 January in the Stormont Hotel.
Our main speaker will be Rico Tice, a much–respected evangelist who for many years was on the staff of All Souls, Langham Place. Rico will be accompanied by Richard Borgonon, also of All Souls, Langham Place. Richard, a Christian businessman, has written an excellent resource called ‘One to One’. This resource is based on John’s Gospel and is an excellent tool to enable laity in our churches to share their faith in Christ.
Please pray for those who will lead and speak throughout the conference: Rico Tice and Richard Borgonon.
For our serving clergy, church plant leaders, Church Army officers and those in lay leadership; that God would refresh, encourage and inspire them for ministry.
For a sense of shared vision and purpose as we serve God in the Diocese of Down and Dromore.
Events with Richard Borgonon
Richard will be speaking at three further events in the diocese this week:
Friday 19 January at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Ballybeen
The Word Works is an informal evening to equip and encourage ordinary church members to explore with others what the Bible says about Jesus. Using the ‘Word One to One’ – a bitesize series on John’s Gospel (provided free) – it will show how anyone can share God’s Word, from council estates to churches, city professionals to non–native English speakers. Saturday 20 January from 9.30–11.00am in St John’s Parish Centre, Moira
Diocesan Men’s Breakfast. This event is open to all men across the diocese and is a great opportunity to hear our guest speaker, Richard Borgonon, share his experiences as an executive in Lloyds of London and his role in the one–to–one ministry which helps people to open up John’s Gospel to share with others. It is a ‘light touch’ event also focusing on fellowship and food! There is no charge, but an offering will be taken. Please book at THIS LINK.
Sunday 21 January at 7.00pm in Willowfield Church
Light of the World: the life–changing power of Jesus. This is an evangelistic service, open to all, where Richard will preach on John’s Gospel and the opportunity to get to know God’s Word. This will be followed by a response time. No booking required.
