New window dedicated in St Mark’s Newtownards
On Friday 19 January over 150 people Gathered at St Mark’s, Newtownards for a special service of dedication for the newly installed “Shepherd King” stained glass window,
The window was commissioned by Russell Houston to celebrate the life of his daughter, Rebecca Frances Cairnduff (nee Houston), who passed away on 30 December 2020.
The window is based on the theme of the new creation from Revelation 7: 17, Revelation 22:1–5 and the hymn, “There is a higher throne”, by Keith and Kristyn Getty.
At the service, Bishop David McClay dedicated the window and preached the sermon, reminding the congregation of the eternal hope that we have when we have Jesus in our lives.
