Training and Outreach events this week
We have some great training and outreach opportunities coming up this week to coincide with the visit of the founder of The Word One to One ministries, Richard Borgonon and Rico Tice, a world–renowned speaker, evangelist and author of Christianity Explored.

Friday 19 January at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Ballybeen
The Word Works is an informal evening to equip and encourage ordinary church members to explore with others what the Bible says about Jesus. Using the ‘Word One to One’ – a bitesize series on John’s Gospel (provided free) – it will show how anyone can share God’s Word, from council estates to churches, city professionals to non–native English speakers. Saturday 20 January from 9.30–11.00am in St John’s Parish Centre, Moira
Diocesan Men’s Breakfast. This event is open to all men across the diocese and is a great opportunity to hear our guest speaker, Richard Borgonon, share his experiences as an executive in Lloyds of London and his role in the one–to–one ministry which helps people to open up John’s Gospel to share with others. It is a ‘light touch’ event also focusing on fellowship and food! There is no charge, but an offering will be taken. Please book at THIS LINK.
Sunday 21 January at 7.00pm in Willowfield Church
Light of the World: the life–changing power of Jesus. This is an evangelistic service, open to all, where Richard will preach on John’s Gospel and the opportunity to get to know God’s Word. This will be followed by a response time. No booking required.
Richard Borgonon
Founder and co–author of The Word One to One, Richard has been in the LLOYD’S insurance market since 1974 as an executive holding various market leadership positions and continues to run his own consultancy company.
Today, Richard spends much of his time sharing the Bible with senior executives as well as speaking internationally on evangelism in today’s world and in numerous evangelistic opportunities. His passion is that every Christian can discover God actively at work in their own circle of contacts, as they take the Word to those around them. God builds His church through His Word.
