Part–time Website Administrator (Church of Ireland)

The RCB seeks to appoint a part–time Website Administrator, reporting to the Synod & Communications department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day–to–day management of the organisational websites and will focus on three core areas: maintaining and updating content on organisational websites, focusing on usability, in terms of functionality and accessibility, and working with all areas of the organisation to develop, maintain and update the organisation’s main websites.

The administrator will liaise with the existing external website agency and will work closely with the RCB communications team and the various RCB departments, to ensure the website is kept up to date. The administrator will also work with stakeholders to plan and progress any re–development of organisational websites.

Separately, the administrator will also be expected to support the organisation’s external hosting platform which provides web and email hosting for the wider Church of Ireland.

Key Experience

The candidate is expected to have previous experience in the following areas:

  • Maintaining/updating websites and using content management systems

  • Knowledge of web design/development frameworks

  • Knowledge of website hosting platforms

  • Image and video editing experience
