GROW begins with the necessity of evangelism
We’ve had a great start to our GROW series with Bishop David teaching on the necessity of keeping evangelism at the top of our agenda. “The people outside our churches ought to be our priority,” he said. “There is no greater task than the making of new disciples but God’s enabling presence is with us and in us.”
The bishop preached from Matthew 28: 16–20 to a packed Willowfield Church on Sunday evening 12 May. He urged us to ‘Go’ in God’s authority and to move away from any mindset of retreat. “We should be regularly leading adults to Christ and baptising them,” he said.
Bishop David also shared examples of how parishes can creatively reach those outside the church using the opportunities presented by both the liturgical and secular calendars.
Please do join us again on Monday evening 13 May at 7.30pm in Willowfield Church when Eoghan Heaslip will speak on “Worship services full of the presence of God”. Eoghan is a worship leader and the Lead Pastor of St Catherine’s Church, Dublin with a love for the church and the worship of the church.
GROW looks at eight values vital to seeing growth in our churches. Visit THIS PAGE for full details of the teaching series which runs until Sunday 19 May.
