Sign up for a Welcome Training Roadshow!
Coming up in early September, three fun, interactive evenings in different locations in the diocese designed to encourage any church member to make their church a more welcoming place.
Why do we need welcome training?
The church is the body of Christ and light to the world. Empowered by the Holy Spirit it has proclaimed and lived the Gospel to see people and nations transformed.
Too often, however, we lack the confidence and skill to model and present church to the community around us and this is especially the case in our welcome. What are the factors that might attract a person to our church, and will they be welcomed enough to consider staying?
These one-off free training evenings will offer practical ideas and experience on how to be a welcoming place and welcoming people. It is for church members of all ages and backgrounds because it is you that can be the difference that makes a welcoming church.
