Training for small group leaders coming soon
Small gatherings for Bible study and fellowship are a key part of discipleship within the diocese and we'd love to encourage leaders to sign up for this short training course beginning in early September.
The course will run over three consecutive evenings from Tuesday 3 September in St Donard's, Belfast and will equip you to more effectively run home groups and Bible studies.
About the course
Maybe you’re thinking about starting a small group in your church or maybe you’re a small group leader who has lots of experience, but you feel the need to sharpen your skills. Perhaps you’re somewhere in between.
Using video content and group discussions and following ‘The Small Group and the Vine’ programme, we’ll explore the ways in which God builds his church through small groups.
The training will cover 5 sessions condensed into 3 evenings to allow training to complete before small groups start back for the new season.
Tuesday 3 September: (1) Understanding small groups and (2) Understanding your role as a leader
Wednesday 4 September: (3) Leading people to God’s Word and (4) Leading in prayer
Thursday 5 September: (5) Persevering with people
The sessions will be led by Josh Hooker, a Crosslinks Mission Partner who also teaches the Diocesan Bible Course.
Cost: £20 payable on the opening night. PLEASE REGISTER BY FRIDAY 30 AUGUST VIA EVENTBRITE HERE.
