A warm welcome for Revd Adrian Green
Revd Adrian Green has received a warm welcome on his return to the Diocese of Down and Dromore. Adrian is a former Anglican Chaplain in Ibiza and has exchanged the clear waters of the Mediterranean for the picturesque coastline of the Ards peninsula to become Incumbent of the Parish of Ballywalter.
Bishop David instituted Adrian, who will be known as Vicar, on Monday 11 November and Revd Bill Boyce, Rector of Dromore (Clogher Diocese), gave the address. Bill has also recently returned from warmer climes after over three years of ministry as Vicar of St Andrew’s Church, Puerto Pollensa, Majorca. Adrian and Bill were colleagues in the Diocese in Europe.
Brian, The Lord Dunleath and his wife, Lady Vibeke Dunleath, also attended. Lord Dunleath is Patron of the Parish.

Born in Belfast, Adrian grew up in Finaghy before leaving to join the Royal Navy. He also worked for several pharmaceutical companies prior to training at Trinity Theological College in Bristol.
After ordination Adrian served as curate at Willowfield and then led Mount Merrion Parish Church on the Cregagh estate. For the last three years he has been the Anglican chaplain for the islands of Ibiza and Formentera.
Adrian is married to Linda and they have five children and six grandchildren. They are excited about the opportunity of serving the people of Ballywalter.
He says:
“We are looking forward to building upon all that has already been established here in making the church a place where individuals and families can belong and find purpose and meaning. Our desire is for Holy Trinity Church to be known as a place where everyone can encounter the miraculous power of what God’s Holy Spirit can do for us, as together we seek to live life in all its fullness.”
