Christmas Greetings from Maridi Diocese
Bishop Moses Zungo sends warm Christmas greetings from our link diocese of Maridi in South Sudan.
Dear Bishop David McClay, Mama Hilary and the Diocese of Down and Dromore,
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, I write to express my profound gratitude for your unwavering support and partnership with the Diocese of Maridi. Your prayers, generosity, and commitment, particularly in providing mobility for our clergy, have been an immense blessing to our ministry and mission.
This Christmas, we reflect on the words of Isaiah 9:6: "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." These words remind us of the hope, peace, and joy we have in Christ—a hope that you have helped us bring closer to the people of Maridi.
Your provision of motorbikes, bicycles and rackshaws has greatly enhanced the ability of our clergy to reach remote areas, spread the gospel, and care for their congregations. This act of love and solidarity has transformed lives and strengthened the work of the church in ways we could not have imagined.
As we step into the new year, we pray that our partnership with the Diocese of Down and Dromore will continue to flourish and bear abundant fruit for God’s kingdom. Your unwavering support inspires us to persevere in our calling to serve, even in challenging circumstances.
May the joy, peace, and blessings of Christmas fill your hearts, homes, and ministry. May the Lord continue to guide and sustain you in all that you do for His glory.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
In His Service,
+Moses Zungo
