Vacancy for a Rector, St Elizabeth’s Church, Dundonald
St Elizabeth’s Church (Dundonald, Belfast) in the Church of Ireland Diocese of Down and Dromore, seeks a Rector who will continue in and strengthen the evangelical foundations that have been laid in the parish, and who will seek to be a Pastor Teacher who equips Christians of all ages to live as maturing missional disciples until Christ brings them home (Eph 4:11-14). We would expect them to take a lead in this by word, example, and lifestyle.
Our priorities for the new incumbent are that they would be:
A mature believer who loves God, His Word and exemplifies godly character (1 Tim 3:1-7).
A steward who will be committed to expository preaching and has a proven record of teaching God’s Word faithfully (1 Cor 4:2).
A herald who will lead, encourage, and equip the whole church family in making Jesus known in Dundonald and beyond (2 Cor 5:11-21).
A servant who desires to see all God’s people grow in Christian maturity (1 Cor 1:17-2.5).
A spiritual parent who like a mother gently cares for the whole church family and like a father exhorts and encourages us to walk in a manner worthy of God (1 Thess 2:7,11).
CLOSING DATE: Thursday 16 January 2025 at 12 noon.
