Encounter, February '25
Our next Encounter event on Saturday morning 22 February 2025 in St John’s Parish Centre, Moira. Tickets are £12 each and include light refreshments and brunch. Worship will be led by Sarah McDonald.
Encounter is for women of all ages in Down and Dromore and a wonderful opportunity to gather for worship and encouraging and practical Bible teaching. There is always plenty of time to catch up with friends (and make new ones) and we offer prayer ministry at the end of the morning.
We’re very much looking forward to hearing from our two speakers, one of whom is a familiar face in the diocese.
Millie Bellew serves as the Children’s Development Officer for Down and Dromore and is passionate about faith, families, and fostering. Married to Laurence, who is a youth and community pastor, they live in Lurgan with their 1-year-old son, Daniel and are also foster carers.
With a PhD in family faith formation, Mille is also a Research Fellow at Stranmillis University College exploring how schools and churches can unite to combat educational underachievement.
Jo Soper co-leads Exeter Network Church with her husband Jon, and they have also planted churches locally which shape themselves around mission, Scripture and living a life fuelled by the Spirit.
Jo studied theology in Oxford and London and taught at Westminster Theological Centre until 2022. She loves helping others read the Bible well, and equipping people to be set free and changed through an encounter with God’s truth and love.
The Book Well
As on previous occasions, our friends at The Book Well will have a selection of books and gifts to buy.
We’re looking forward to seeing you and some friends on Saturday 22 February 2025. Book soon as places are limited.
